Pippa Palmer is Curator of LSBU's Climate Emergency Series and Research Strategist at London South Bank University. Her specialism is systems change in the built environment, particularly the challenges around renewable energy, energy access, and energy market transformation.
Pippa's experience stems from a lengthy commercial career, delivering go-to-market strategies and behavioural insights for blue chip retail, utility and sustainability brands, including The Carbon Trust, Zero Carbon Hub and the UKGBC.
Pippa has also acted as MD and strategic advisor to the charity SolarAid, building fair markets for clean solar lights in sub-Saharan Africa. An ‘accidental academic’, Pippa's research now focuses on the intersection of the behavioural, markets and engineering challenges of the net zero transition - and in particular, retrofit.
